IBPS RRB 2023 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for IBPS RRB 2023, candidates need to fulfil certain eligibility criteria. These criteria consist of educational qualifications, age limits, and any required experience. Let’s take a detailed look at the eligibility criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must fulfil the required educational qualifications as specified by IBPS for each post. The specific educational requirements vary based on the position applied for, such as Office Assistant, Officer Scale I, II, or III.
  2. Age Limit: There are age limits set by IBPS for each category of candidates. The minimum and maximum age limits differ depending on the post applied for. It is very important to check the official notification for the specific age criteria applicable to each position.
  3. Experience: In some cases, candidates may be required to have relevant work experience in the banking sector. The nature and duration of the experience required vary based on the post and the specific requirements mentioned in the notification.

The age limit for IBPS RRB (as of 01/06/2023) varies according to the different categories:

  • For Officer Scale-III: Candidates should be between 21 and 40 years of age. • For Officer Scale-II: Candidates should be between 21 and 32 years of age. • For Officer Scale-I: Candidates should be between 18 and 30 years of age. • For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Candidates should be between 18 and 30 years of age.

IBPS also provides certain age relaxations for specific categories. The information of age relaxation are as follows:

  • Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe: 05 years of age relaxation. • Other Backward Class: 03 years of age relaxation. • Person with disability: 10 years of age relaxation. • Ex-Serviceman/Disabled Ex-Serviceman: the actual time spent serving in the armed services plus three more years (eight additional years for disabled ex-servicemen who are SC/ST members), up to a maximum age of fifty. • A 9-year age relaxation applies to widows, divorcees, and women who have been legally separated from their spouses and are single.

Candidates falling under any of these categories may be eligible for the specified age relaxations as per the IBPS RRB 2023 guidelines.

IBPS RRB Selection Process

The IBPS RRB 2023 Examination is divided into two stages: Prelims and Main. On the other hand, the IBPS PO or Officer Scale I examination consists of three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. For IBPS Officer Grade II (General Banking Officer and Specialist Cadre) and III, there is a single-window exam called the IBPS Officer Grade II Exam, followed by an Interview. To secure a position in any of these posts, candidates need to successfully pass each stage of the respective examinations.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam Pattern

For the IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam, there are two phases:
1. Preliminary Exam
2. Mains Exam
Candidates applying for the Office Assistant position will not undergo an interview process. Selection will be based solely on the candidate’s performance in the Mains Examination.
In the exam, 0.25 marks will be reduced for every response marked by the candidate. The test will be objective in nature.

The syllabus for the IBPS RRB 2023 exam is mostly similar for both the IBPS RRB Assistant and IBPS RRB Officer positions. Exams will be conducted for each stage of both Assistant and Officer Grade posts.  It is mandatory for candidates to clear the preliminary round in order to proceed to the Mains Exam. Those who successfully make it to the final merit list will receive a call letter to join the RRBs

IBPS RRB Scorecard 2023

 The results will be released on the official website of IBPS for both IBPS RRB Assistant and Officer Scale-1, 2 & 3 posts. The release of the scorecard will take place after the completion of all the examination stages for both Assistant and Officer Grade posts.

The IBPS has announced the much-awaited IBPS RRB Exam Date 2023 as part of its IBPS Calendar 2023. The online application for the IBPS RRB 2023 exam has been activated on 1st June 2023 at ibps.in. Candidates interested in applying for the positions of IBPS RRB Office Assistant, Officer Scale I, II, & III can submit their applications online. The last date to apply online for these positions is 28th June 2023.
The candidates who are eligible for Officer Scale I, II, & III and Office Assistant posts can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the IBPS RRB 2023. Once submitted, the form cannot be edited, therefore fill it out carefully.

Section I: REGISTRATION
• Visit the official website at @ibps.in or use the direct URL provided below.
• Click on the "Recruitment of RRB Officer Scale-I, Officer Scale-II & III, and Officer Assistants" advertisement.
• The candidate must click "Click here for New Registration" on the new page.
• Candidates must fill in their personal information such as their name, parents' names, date of birth, email address, mobile number, and so on.
• After submitting the registration form successfully, a Registration ID and Password will be given to the registered cell phone number and e-mail address.

Section II: LOG IN
To finish the application procedure, candidates must log in using the issued Registration number and Password.
The following step is to upload the Photograph and Signature in the format specified.
• Candidates must fill their educational information on the following page.
• Candidates can select a test centre as per their convenience.
• Once you've reviewed the application form, double-check all of the information you've entered, and click the submit button.
• Candidates will be led to the application fees payment gateway after filling out all of the details and submitting the form.
• Candidates can pay their application fee either through online or offline mode.
• After making a successful payment, print the completed form for future reference.
