The full form of LIC AAO is Life Insurance Corporation Assistant Administrative Officer. It is a national level examination for the recruitment of officers to various posts. It is conducted once a year to recruit aspiring candidates to various posts. The examination is conducted in two languages English and Hindi. The recruitment process has three stages. The first stage is Prelims which will have objective type multiple-choice based questions. The second stage is Mains which will have Descriptive type questions. Third and final stage is the personal interview.

The applicant’s minimum age should be 21 years & the maximum age should be 30 years at time of application form filling process. There is clause of age relaxation as per the norms of Govt. of India which is as under.

Candidates must remember that only clearing the LIC AAO Prelims with minimum cut off mentioned above will not take them to the LIC AAO Mains. The candidates should score good marks to get qualified to the next phase on the Exam.
The conducting authority will determine the cut off for LIC AAO mains after the final result. On the basis of cut off, candidates securing more than or equal to the prescribed cut off score will be shortlisted for an interview which is the next and final phase of LIC AAO Exam. In order to appear for the next round, i.e. Interview, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks of the Main Exam as well as the qualifying aggregate marks. According to the official notification, candidates three times the number of vacancies will be called for Interview. So, here also it is important that you score as high as possible in the Main exam.
The Corporation also prescribes the qualifying marks for the interview stage along with the final result. Candidates securing the qualifying marks in the interview will be issued a letter of appointment only if they secure the final cut off marks or more.
