SSC MTS

Staff Selection Commission conducts the examination of Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff or MTS. It is a national level exam which is conducted for the recruitment of candidates of Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various ministries and offices of the Government of India. The process of the examination is divided into three stages (paper I, paper II, document verification). Candidates should qualify first stage to appear the next one. First tier is based on an online method while the next is based on offline.

Latest Updates and Notification

According to the notice, SSC MTS 2020-21 Paper 1 is scheduled to be held from 1st July to 20th July 2021. After completion of Paper 1 the Paper 2 will be held on 21st November 2021.

6.1.1 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1997 and not later than 01-01-2004) for MTS.

Multi Tasking (NT) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2021 – Important Notice:

F.No. 3/2/2021-P&P-I (Vol. I): Aspirants of Multi Tasking (NT) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination-2021 are cautioned that Photo and Signature uploaded in the online application form must be in conformity with the Notice of Examination. Samples of photos are also provided at Annexure-V (copy attached) of the Notice of Examination. Applications with photograph with cap/ spectacle / frontal view not clearly visible or miniature/ blurred photograph or miniature/ blurred/ illegible signature will be rejected.

2. The window for application form correction will be opened from 05.05.2022 to 09.05.2022. Any Candidate who desires to make any change in his/her application form, may correct/ modify online application parameters/ photo/ signature during this period.

Age Limitation

As the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e. (i) 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years, in the final result, there will be separate age group-wise, State/ UT-wise and category-wise cutoffs. For the candidates who are eligible for both the age-groups, vacancies will first be filled in the age-group of 18-25 years

SSC MTS releases the cut off each year after the examination. The SSC MTS cutoff is determined based on various parameters such as the difficulty level of the exam, the average performance by the candidates, the number of vacancies, etc. The SSC MTS cutoff 2020-21 is yet to be released. There is no interview conducted in SSC MTS Exam. According to the new recruitment, Interview is replaced by the document verification

Verification of documents is the part of SSC MTS Selection Process. Candidates found faulty while presenting the required set of documents will be debarred from SSC MTS selection process. 

Certified true copies or Photostat copies of the certificates will not be accepted in any case. 

Original certificates will be returned after the verification.

How to apply

The steps for the SSC MTS 2020-21 Registration is as follows:

Step 1- Visit the official website of SSC – ssc.nic.in

Step 2- Click on the Register Now link

Step 3- Fill all details asked in the registration form

Step 4- Click on the Final Submit button

Step 5 – Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) received on the registered mobile number or email ID

Step 6- Login again with the Login ID and Password and continue with the further process of SSC MTS Online Application Process

Step 7- Upload scanned images of photo (Dimension 3.5×4.5 & Size 20-50 KB) and signature (Dimension 4.0 x2.0 & Size 10-20KB)

Step 8- Fill in your education qualifications, your choice of centre and click on submit button

Step 9- In the final step you must pay the Application Fees for SSC MTS 2021 Exam through Online Mode of payment (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/NEFT etc.) or through Offline Mode of Payment (E-Challan)

Step 10- Click on submit button. Your Online Application form will be successfully submitted

Step 11- Note Take a printout and save the pdf file of the SSC MTS Application Form for future reference
