WBPRB/NOTICE – 2021/38 (SI_LSI – 20) The date of Preliminary Examination for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector/Lady Sub-Inspector (UB) and Sub-Inspector (AB) in West Bengal Polic-2020 has been scheduled on 05.12.2021 (Sunday) from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 PM. The e-Admit Cards will be available on the website of West Bengal Police (www.wbpolice.gov.in) from 26.11.2021 on keying of Application Sl. No. & Date of Birth. All efforts will be made to deliver SMS alert to the registered Mobile Number of the candidates. However, the Board will not be responsible for non-delivery of such SMS. The candidates shall have to produce the printout of their e-Admit Cards at the allotted venues for appearing in the said examination with a proper proof of identity. The candidates applied online will not get any paper admit card which shall be issued only in respect of offline candidates. The candidates are strongly advised against wearing sports shoes, sneakers, high heeled footwear or any other kind of shoes for they will be refused entry into the venue of the examination. They shall wear flat footwear such as plain leather or polyurethane footwear or slippers without any metal embellishments or accessories. The candidates are also advised to follow the instructions given on their Admit Card and visit this website on a regular basis.

Sub-Inspector / Lady Sub-Inspector of Police in West Bengal Police 2020 – Result of Preliminary Examination & Notice for PET/PMT:

The result of Preliminary Examination for recruitment to the post of SubInspector/Lady Sub-Inspector (UB) and Sub-Inspector (AB) in West Bengal Police – 2020 has been announced and uploaded in the website of West Bengal Police (www.wbpolice.gov.in) and West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (https://prb.wb.gov.in). To find the result in the websites the candidates are advised to search by inputting or keying-in their Application Sl. No. and Date of Birth with selection of his/her permanent district. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear at the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) scheduled to commence on and from 28.04.2022. Age Limit

The applicant must not be less than 20 (Twenty) years old and must not be more than 27 (Twenty Seven) years old as on 01.01.2021. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 05 (five) years for the candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes (SC) & Scheduled Tribes (ST) and by 03 (Three) years for the candidates belonging to the category of Other Backward Classes (OBC).

The upper age limit for the Departmental candidates of West Bengal Police only shall be relaxable upto 35 years which shall further be relaxed by 5 (Five) years in case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates and by 3 (Three) years in the case of Other Backward Classes candidates.

WB Police SI Syllabus 2021: Prelims Exam Pattern

Before we get into the WB Police SI Syllabus, let us first have a look at the preliminary exam pattern. The WB Police SI Prelims Exam Pattern gives an insight into the sections or subjects that the Exam will have.

  1. The Pre Exam (Screening Test)will be of Written Objective Type.
  2. A Preliminary Examination to be held on General Studies, Logical & Analytical reasoning, and Arithmetic.
