Tripura Sub-Inspector of Police Recruitment Exam

The candidates have to be minimum 21 years and maximum 28 years as specified on a specific date mentioned in the official notification. SC/ST candidates will get 5 years relaxation in age eligibility.

            According to GA (P&T) Department Memo No.F. 20(1)/GA(P&T)/18 dated 15^th July, 2020 one year age relaxation for all category candidates was allowed as mentioned in 2020 official notification.

• The candidates should have to be at least graduate in any discipline.
• Knowledge of Bengali/Kokborok is desirable.

The exam cut-offs will be released by the Commission in due time after successful conduction of examination.

The exam consists of three stages namely,

1. Physical Efficiency Test
2. Written Examination
3. Personality Test

1. Physical Efficiency Test: For Unarmed branch (Men)
The eligible candidates will have to undergo physical efficiency test (as per Standard Norms) to be conducted by the Tripura Police.

       The standard of the physical efficiency test will be that of ‘One star standard’ of the National Physical Efficiency Test as fixed by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Education. The test includes

• 100 m Run – 15 s,
• Long Jump – 3.80 m,
• Shot Put (7.26 kg) – 5.60 m,
• High Jump – 1.20 m,
• 800 m Run – 2 min 50 s

 

The candidates who achieve one star standard and thereby qualify in the physical efficiency test are eligible to appear for a written examination followed by personality test. The maximum marks for the written examination and the personality test shall be as follows:-

Written examination – 200 marks

Personality test – 20 marks

 

2. Written Exam

There will be two papers in the written exam such as Paper-I and Paper-II. The detailed exam pattern is given in the following table.

 

**Answers of Paper-I should be written in English and the same of Paper-II may be written in either in English or Bengali.

 

More details about the exam:

• The standard of written papers will be that of the Degree (Pass course) Examination of an Indian University.
• Such candidates as are selected, in order of merit, on the basis of the result of the written examination, will be called by the TPSC for personality test.
• The final selection shall be made, subject to rules regarding reservation of posts for SCs/STs and other special categories, in order of merit, to be determined, on the basis of the aggregate score in Written examination and Personality test of each candidate.
• After recruitment the candidates have to undergo basic training in any other training Institution in the state or outside state and on completion of basic training, practical training is to be arranged by the DGP. The recruited candidates will be eligible to get their first annual increment only after successful completion of their basic training.

3. Personality Test:
The qualified candidates of Written Examination will be called for Personality Test. The final selection will be made in order of merit on the basis of the marks obtained by a candidate in the Written Examination in aggregate and by adding the marks obtained in the Personality Test.

1. First visit the official website of TPSC tpsc.gov.in
2. Applicant first has to register his/her bio-data details through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) in the Commission’s website.
3. Filling up the one’s particular will lead to the generation of a User ID which will be sent to his/her registered mobile number and email ID.
4. Applicants need to apply for the post using the OTPR User ID through the Commission’s website.
5. After successful payment of the application fee the candidates are requested to save the final application form for future reference.

The scale of pay is Rs. 34,700/- New pay matrix level-10, Cell-01 as per TSCS (RP) (1^st Amendment) Rules, 2018 or as sanctioned from time to time.
